Dear Families,

This week NCVPS classes with a standard start date begin. Students should access the courses by logging into My.ncedcloud.org and selecting the NCVPS icon. Below is the list of classes that begin tomorrow.

6th grade ELA, Math and Social Studies
7th grade ELA, Math and Social Studies
8th grade ELA
Spanish I and II
French I and II
Japanese I

Art of Game Design

I appreciate your patience as we acclimate ourselves to the new student data platform, Infinite Campus. We expect the portal to open next weekend and for you to be able to see your student's grades. Remember your contact information in Infinite Campus needs to be checked and then updated if incorrect. You can use this link to update phone numbers or email addresses. We will enter the corrections into Infinite Campus.

Each Thursday CVA staff works to provide interactive activities and personalized tutoring. Last week the middle schoolers explored transformations through a math group activity. This enrichment activity deepened students' understanding of dilations, rotations, and translations. One of our school goals is to increase growth and proficiency in math. There will be small group math instruction each Thursday.
We encourage your student to attend weekly tutoring or to participate in virtual office hours.

If you have not already, please review AI guidelines with your student. The Digital Citizenship Policy begins on page 13 of the student handbook.
