Homeschool + Virtual School: 6 Reasons It Might Be the Perfect Fit

1. Flexible, Self-Paced Learning
Students complete coursework on their own schedule — perfect for families who want control over the school day. Whether your child learns best early in the morning or late at night, CVA supports your family’s unique rhythm.

2. Asynchronous Curriculum, Grades 6–12
CVA offers a high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum for middle and high school students with no daily live class requirements. This means students can work independently while staying on track with grade-level expectations.

3. Parent Choice in Course Selection
Families can choose two or more courses per semester, allowing you to supplement your homeschool program with subjects like advanced math, science, world languages, or electives — all taught by certified teachers.

4. Weekly In-Person Tutoring & Daily Office Hours
CVA blends independence with support. Students can attend in-person tutoring once a week and have access to daily virtual office hours for help, encouragement, or reteaching.

5. Licensed NC Teachers & Academic Oversight
All instructors are North Carolina certified teachers who provide meaningful feedback, monitor student progress, and support students academically and emotionally. You're not in this alone.

6. Aligned with Cabarrus County Schools & Program Choice Policies
As a Cabarrus County Schools program, CVA follows district and state guidelines, ensuring your student’s progress is recognized. Parents receive updates on student performance and access to district-level resources.
