The Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - October 19, 2025
Dear Families,
Grades for quarter one are now finalized. Report cards can be viewed in Infinite Campus.  If you are not following your student, use these directions to join the Parent Portal.  We also recommend setting up a Canvas Parent account to see upcoming due dates, missing & graded assignments, teacher comments, etc. Learn how to set up a Canvas parent account here: https://tinyurl.com/2tfb6h86
Grades at CVA are cumulative, so every student can still earn the grade they are striving for.  I encourage your student to attend in-person Thursday tutoring if his or her grades are not where they want them to be.
We are here to support your student in his or her academic journey.
Sincerely,
Chrissy Rotan

Attention 10th graders-
The PreACT is Tuesday. This is a required test.

LAWA High School Series Workshops & Scholarship Program

The Johnston Ziegler Safrit Youth Leadership Scholarship opens today through December 1st. We’re excited that this scholarship has increased to $10,000 and will recognize a local high school senior who is leaving a mark on their community. Through this Teen Health Connection Legacy Fund scholarship, our organization is investing in future leaders, changemakers, and advocates.

The scholarship is built on the pillars of leadership, advocacy, and service, all of which were exemplified by Dr. John Johnston, Barbara Ziegler, and Libby Safrit.
