The Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - November 2, 2025
Dear Families,

The state is allowing students who take End-of-Course (EOC) exams in the fall and do not reach proficiency to retest if needed.
Why is this important?
  • Retesting gives your student the opportunity to earn the highest possible grade in the course, since EOCs count as 25% of the final grade.
  • It also gives students a chance to show what they truly know—everyone can have an off testing day.
  • Finally, retests help reflect the great instruction and progress happening in Ms. Hartke’s and Ms. Hodsden’s classes, as these results contribute to the school’s growth and proficiency measures.
If your student is enrolled in Biology, English II, or Math III, you will receive a separate message with an attachment to complete for retesting permission. Please sign it in Parent Square now so we have it on file in advance, should your student need to retest.

The testing calendar has been updated to maximize the retesting opportunity.  See the calendar of upcoming events.  English II retesting will occur in January as there is a free response portion and scores are not received immediately.

Thank you for your support.

Chrissy
