The Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - November 9, 2025
Dear Families,

This week students in Math III and English II will take their second benchmark.  Our teachers use the results of this test to plan instruction and prepare students for the EOC.  Students should plan to arrive by 8:30 am.  Some students have both courses.  These students should bring a lunch and/or snack and plan to take a short break between tests.

On Tuesday there will be no assignments for CVA or NCVPS courses as we will celebrate Veteran's Day.  Thank you to all the parents and siblings who have served our country!  We truly appreciate your service and sacrifice.

Chrissy

If you took courses at RCCC during the fall semester, please check to make sure you do not have a business hold at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. If your student is trying to register for spring CCP courses, RCCC will not be able to register them until the balance is paid.

Students can view and pay their balance by logging into Self-Service:
*Please note that account updates typically reflect the next day.*

Each student should notify their school counselor when the amount has been paid, so we can move forward with spring registration.

💻 CCP Course Fees & E-Textbooks
We’ve created a quick reference sheet with estimated e-textbook and course fees for many CCP classes to help students plan ahead.
  • Some classes now use Open Educational Resources (OER) — meaning no textbook costs!
  • Fees may vary each semester.
  • Check the latest info anytime at the Rowan-Cabarrus Online Bookstore.
Reminders:
  • Students taking 9+ credit hours pay a $50 Student Activity Fee.
  • There’s a small graduation fee for those participating in the ceremony.
Plan ahead and save — every little bit helps!
