The Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - February 8, 2026
Dear Families,

We are all looking forward to a full week of school next week. Hopefully your student was able to balance the time with enjoying the snow and keeping up with school.

Students who are the most successful at CVA work daily in their classes and stay on pace.  This semester students are required to upload screenshots of work submissions when they fall behind. Students who fall behind in more than one course need additional support and are now required to come in on Thursdays.  Each week Ms. Poulos will review grades and contact families when students are required to attend.  Of course, we want students who are excelling in classes to come in also.  This is a great day for social and academic time.

This past week the middle schoolers explored the Spheros robots.   Thank you Ms. Darnell and NC Spark for making this activity possible.

High School Registration for 2026-27 is here.
All families with rising 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders should plan to attend the registration night on February 19th.  At this meeting we will review graduation requirements, steps to apply for Career and College Promise courses and sign up for individual meeting times with Ms. Rubbino.  Review this registration form so you can ask course questions at the meeting.
