Dear Families,
It was so great seeing you all on Thursday night for high school registration. I loved hearing about your future plans- 3 year graduations, College and Career Program courses, going to college and going to the military. If you were unable to join us. please review this presentation in its entirety.
Do you want to meet with Ms. Rubbino before choosing courses? There is a Sign-up Genius linked in the presentation. Course requests for 2026-27 must be entered in the google document by Friday, February 27, 2026. You can find the link to the registration document in the powerpoint.
We build our master schedule off of student requests, so it is imperative you carefully consider your choices. We are here to support you. Please reach out to Ms. Rubbino with any questions.
Some of you received a message this week that you owe fees. If you have any questions about the fees, Ms. Lindsey is happy to help. You can reach her through email at christin.lindsey@cabarrus.k12.nc.us or by calling the front office.
Thank you for your continued support.

Middle School Vex Team Congratulations to our middle school team for completing their first VEX competition last weekend. Our students worked hard to improve throughout the conference and learned how to score points!. The team was invited to a state conference this weekend for students to continue building their skills!

ASVAB Opportunity at CVA - Friday, February 27, 2026 Students in grades 10–12 will have the opportunity to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) at Cabarrus Virtual Academy on Friday, February 27, at 8:00 a.m.
The ASVAB is a free, timed aptitude assessment designed to measure students’ strengths and help predict future academic and career success. While the ASVAB is commonly recognized as a military entrance exam, it is also widely used as a valuable career exploration tool that helps students identify interests, abilities, and potential career pathways.
Student results will be shared only with school counselors and administrators to support academic and career planning. Recruiters will not have access to student scores unless the student chooses to share them.
This opportunity allows students to gain meaningful insight into their strengths and explore future options in a supportive, no-obligation environment. If you would like to register, please contact kristi.parlier@cabarrus.k12.nc.us. If you would like more information, please email kristi.parlier@cabarrus.k12.nc.us.

Are you interested in attending our STEAM field trip to the Charlotte Speedway? The deadline to register is Friday, March 6 at 12:00 pm.
Get ready for a day of STEAM Activities and fun at Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 16th, 2026! Students will relate motorsports to core principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Force, motion, energy and engineering are some of the topics that come alive as kids navigate through hands-on stations. Critical thinking skills will be put to the test as students form a hypothesis and understand racing design concepts.
Upon completion of the STEAM activities, students are welcome to experience the 24-degree banking of Charlotte Motor Speedway by riding around the 1.5-mile NASCAR track in a tour van!
This day will cost $23 per student and $12 for parents. Parents will drop off/park at zMAX Dragway, 6570 Bruton Smith Blvd. Concord, NC (see attached map for details). Parents are welcome to attend, and we would love for at least two parent volunteers to join us!
