Welcome to CVA Student Services.  My name is Maghen Rubinno and I am the school counselor for Cabarrus Virtual Academy.  I am happy to answer any questions you have and hope you get to know your child's counselor, as we are here to help. Our student services department (school counselor and school social worker) will work with students individually and in large groups to help with personal and social development, advisement, course selection, college admissions, etc.  Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Ms. Brooks has served Cabarrus County Schools since 1996 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Student Services Coordinator at PLC. She is dedicated to supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth while advocating for their overall well-being. Students may meet with Ms. Brooks for PLC admissions, individual or group counseling, and support in accessing community resources. She is passionate about helping every student feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
