Dear Families,

I hope you enjoy a nice, long weekend.  There is no school on Monday.  Please note that NCVPS courses will have assignments on Monday.  Please talk to your student about staying on pace by either working Monday or planning to work longer on Tuesday.  

We begin high school registration for 2026-27 this week.  Families of rising 9th - 12th graders should plan to attend the meeting on Thursday.  Information is shared below.  Current 6th and 7th grade families do not need to attend.

Top 3 tips to be ready to register for high school classes on Thursday night.
1.  Attend the registration meeting at 6:00 pm at CVA.
2. Review this registration form so you can ask course questions at the meeting.
3. Review the graduation requirement document attached to this newsletter.

SparkNC Update



Congratulations to the Future Minds team which created an AI based app to solve the problem of the difficulty in finding food, shelter, healthcare etc for those in need.  Closing the gap between need and resources!   Their app won 1st prize and they received a $500 Amazon gift card.

National Technical Honor Society Nominees
Congratulations to the following students for being nominated for National Technical Honor Society.  These students have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and successfully completed a CTE concentrator course.

Students taking CCP Courses

To help support your success, we are asking that you submit a screenshot of your current grades every two weeks by Friday. Please refer to the due dates listed below.
If you are behind or at risk of failing any of your courses, you will be required to come into the school building for additional support. CVA students will attend on Thursdays, and PLC students will attend on Fridays.
Please complete the Google Form linked below every two weeks when you submit your grade screenshot.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to staying on track! Failure to complete this form may result in you being ineligible to enroll in RCCC courses for the following semester.
