Supplementing with iReady in Middle School

Posted Date: 02/13/26 (11:05 AM)

At CVA, our goal is to provide your student with strong core instruction along with personalized support when needed. This year, Cabarrus County Schools has purchased a program that allows us to offer individualized learning as a supplement to core instruction.  Since middle schoolers have four classes, there is time daily to supplement this instruction.

Students in 6th and 7th grade will begin using the iReady platform to support the reading and math instruction they receive through NCVPS. Most students have already completed the iReady diagnostic assessments; however, if your student has not, they will need to complete the diagnostic in order to receive personalized lessons through the platform. Students can access iReady through Clever.

Students are expected to spend 45 minutes per week in iReady Reading and 45 minutes per week in iReady Math. We anticipate that all students will demonstrate proficiency on the End-of-Grade (EOG) assessments this year. Students who do not meet proficiency based on state benchmarks will be required to participate in EOG retesting in Reading and/or Math.

Ms. Hartke and Ms. Denley will review these expectations with students during the next Monday morning meeting.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
