CVA Courses and Exams- Action Needed

Posted Date: 05/11/26 (03:30 PM)

Good afternoon,
Thank you all for your patience as we awaited guidance from NCDPI regarding Canvas access. Below are the next steps for high school and middle school students. We anticipate Canvas access being restored tomorrow morning.
High School
  • All courses should be accessible tomorrow morning, and students will have until Wednesday, May 13 at midnight to complete any missing coursework.
  • Exams will also be available tomorrow.
  • Seniors at the early colleges should complete exams by Wednesday, May 13 at midnight due to early graduation timelines.
  • Seniors at CVA and traditional high schools should complete exams by May 17.
  • All other students should complete exams by May 19.
  • CVA students should continue submitting the attendance form through May 20.
Middle School – 8th Grade
  • Coursework originally due on Thursday and Friday will be exempted.
  • Students should begin working on the social studies project and focus on retesting if needed.
  • Students should continue completing attendance daily though May 20.
Middle School – 6th and 7th Grades
  • Since coursework is submitted through NCVPS, families should expect direct communication from NCVPS.
  • Students who need to retest should focus on completing retests.
  • NCVPS courses were originally scheduled to end tomorrow. Please refer to communication from NCVPS for any updates to that timeline.
  • After NCVPS courses close, students will have iReady activities available in the homeroom course to complete.
  • Students should continue submitting the attendance form daily through May 20.
Again, we appreciate your patience these past four days.  Please reach out if you have any questions.
