Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Cabarrus Virtual Academy is excited to welcome you and your family to the new school year! Please save the following important dates on your calendar.
Open House
Thursday, August 6
6:00–8:00 p.m. (drop in)

During Open House, families will be able to:
- Pick up student schedules
- Meet teachers
- Pay school fees
- Sign required student and parent contracts
- Complete health information forms
High School Orientation & Computer Pick-Up
Wednesday, August 12
New to CVA & 9th Grade Students
8:30–11:30 a.m.
8:30–11:30 a.m.
During Orientation, students will:
- Receive their Chromebook and technology information
- Learn how to navigate Canvas and access online courses
- Review daily expectations and attendance requirements
- Meet teachers and support staff
Parent Meeting (All High School Parents)
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Topics include:
- Communication expectations
- Attendance and state testing requirements
- Student support services
- Parent resources and opportunities to ask questions
Returning High School Student Orientation
12:00 -2:00 p.m.
12:00 -2:00 p.m.
Students will:
- Pick up their Chromebook
- Review updates for the 2026–2027 school year
- Review Canvas, communication expectations, and school procedures
- Meet with teachers and ask questions for the first day of school
Middle School Orientation & Computer Pick-Up
Thursday, August 13
New and Returning Middle School Students
8:30–11:30 a.m.
8:30–11:30 a.m.
Parent Meeting (All Middle School Parents)
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Middle school coursework will begin on August 13.
