Cabarrus County Schools Virtual AcademyThe Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - September 13, 2026
Dear CVA Families,

Thank you for such a great start to the school year! The vast majority of our students are engaged, participating, and completing their coursework.
Families can help students stay on track by using this simple checklist. Ask your student:
“Are you…”
  • ☐ Logging into your coursework regularly?
  • ☐ Completing assignments by the due dates?
  • ☐ Checking your school messages?
  • ☐ Attending required Thursday sessions and small groups?
  • ☐ Communicating with your teachers when you need help?
  • ☐ Checking your grades each week?
Our goal is to help every student become an independent learner and confident self-advocate. Encourage your student to take ownership of their learning, ask questions, and reach out for help when needed

Congratulations to the following students who have been invited to join the National Technical Honor Society.  These students have demonstrated academic excellence throughout their high school career as well completing a CTE cluster including at least one level two CTE course.  Students please check your email for more information about our club and how to join.  If you did not receive an email and you think you qualify, please reach out to kristi.parlier@cabarrus.k12.nc.us.

If your student would like to participate in the outside PE activity, please remind them to bring tennis shoes and a water bottle.
