Dear CVA Families,
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate and support the children in our district. Cabarrus County Schools’ Strategic Plan outlines the district’s goals and objectives to attend to all the social, emotional, and wellness needs of all students. Over the next several weeks, we will be asking all 6th through 12th grade students to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning via an online survey they will be completing at school.
The Student Wellness Survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete. You may view all survey material posted on the CCS website. All students are encouraged to participate in the survey, as their responses along with teacher feedback, will provide important insights into their experiences and help our schools promote the well-being and success of all students.

Beginning Tuesday, September 29, CVA will be open on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for an optional study hall and coursework time.
This time is designed to provide students with a quiet place to work, ask questions, and receive clarification or support with assignments. Tuesday attendance is optional and is intended as an additional opportunity for students to stay on track and be successful.
Students who are behind in their courses will still be expected to attend Thursdays for required support but may also attend on Tuesdays for additional help.
Each week we offer students the change to participate in a club or outdoor activity. This week the outdoor activity will be soccer. Students must bring closed-toe shoes to be able to participate.
As a reminder, CCS has a school cell phone policy. High school students may be on the phone during non-instructional times only- breakfast, lunch and a 1:00 break. At all other times the phone should be stored away from their person.
