Dear CVA Families,
There are lots of exciting opportunities for our students this week!
All students enrolled in Economics and Personal Finance will meet at the PLC (located directly behind CVA) at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday to participate in the Reality of Money financial simulation. This hands-on experience will help students learn how to budget, make informed financial decisions, and avoid common financial pitfalls.
Following the simulation, students will have the opportunity to learn more about the college application process and even apply to colleges for FREE! Ms. Poulos will be on campus and can assist with your college essays too. Bring your lunch if you plan to attend both activities. On Tuesday Ms Hartke will be on campus from 9:00 - 12:00. Students are invited to campus to work on assignments.
Be sure to check our calendar for these and many other opportunities available to CVA students this week.
We look forward to a great week!
Chrissy Rotan Principal, Cabarrus Virtual Academy
For club activities this week, students will choose between flag football and crochet club. Remember to wear tennis shoes if you want to participate in the outdoor activity.

They highlighted the encouragement, tutoring, family outreach, and careful monitoring she provides when students begin to struggle. They shared the story of a student whom she repeatedly guided through overwhelming moments until she persevered, graduated, and crossed the stage with you cheering her on.

Congratulations to Ms. Nina Darnell. Her nominator praised her work preparing CCS high school students to compete confidently in the technology world. They highlighted the collaborative workspaces and direct connections with business partners she provides, along with her support in helping students use their SparkNC experiences to build professional-quality e-portfolios and resumes for college, internship, and entry-level job applications.
