Cabarrus County Schools Virtual AcademyThe Hive - Parent and Student Newsletter - November 1, 2026

Hello, CVA Families!

November is Career Development Month.  This month your student will learn to navigate NC Careers and take an interest survey so they can explore careers related to their interests.

A colorful graphic with icons representing career development, text reads 'National Career Development Month November'.

Do you know what you want to do after high school? Whether you have your future all figured out or are still exploring your options, November is the perfect time to start thinking about what's next!
Career Development Month is all about discovering your interests, recognizing your strengths, exploring career opportunities, and learning about the many paths available to you after graduation.
This month, we will have opportunities to:
  • Explore careers that match your interests and skills.
  • Discover career pathways you may not have considered.
  • Learn about education, training, and credential opportunities.
  • Connect with professionals and learn about real-world careers.
  • Start thinking about your goals and plans for life after high school.
College, the military, technical training, apprenticeships, or jumping straight into the workforce—there's more than one path to success!
You don't have to know exactly where you're going, but you should start exploring where you could go.
Your future. Your interests. Your possibilities. Start exploring today!
